Football South Australia is pleased to advise the South Australian State Government has provided funding of $490,000 in support of the code as a result of COVID-19 and the financial affect it has had on clubs and associations.
The temporary suspension of the competition and operations has impacted the game and we have (as communicated) been working closely with the Minister for Recreation, Sport and Racing and Treasury to unlock a financial recovery package in support of the game as we reboot operations and competitions in 2020.
The support and cooperation of clubs and associations within the state has been first-rate and this has enabled us to manage the impact of COVID-19 in a unified approach.
Football South Australia will confirm the finer details of the financial recovery package and communicate this accordingly.
