Football SA has appointed Curtis Wordsworth as the Referee for the 2022 Football SA Women’s NPL & State League Cup Final, being played at ServiceFM Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Having made his Senior debut in 2008, Curtis has refereed over 300 Senior fixtures in both the Men’s and Women’s competitions in South Australia. This will be his first Women’s Cup Final, however he will be familiar to both teams on Sunday as the referee of their 2019 Women’s NPL SA Grand Final clash.
Curtis will be joined on Sunday by Paula Orlandi & Kristen Nugent as Assistant Referees, with Tom Brinkworth the Fourth Official.
Promising young Match Official Sophie Betterman has been selected as the Shadow Referee for the match, and will join the Match Officials team to experience the Cup Final environment. She will have a front-row seat to the action unfolding before and during the match, as well as being involved in the post-match debriefing with the Match Officials team and the Referee Coach, Michelle Smith.
