Adelaide Comets vs Modbury Jets
Venue: SA Athletics Stadium
Date: 9/10/2020 08:00 PM

Top of the table Adelaide Comets faces a struggling Modbury Jets under the Friday Night lights of SA Athletics Stadium.

Barney Smith's side though are struggling to maintain any kind of form with two wins from their last five, so perhaps an opportunity for the Jets, who themselves have just one win on the board in their last five.

Despite this though, Comets sit one point clear on top of the tree, but just two above MetroStars who sit in fourth.

The Comets went down 3-1 away to an in form Croydon Kings last week, while the Jets were punished with a 5-1 hammering at home to MetroStars.

Venue: Croatian Sports Centre
Date: 9/10/2020 08:15 PM

Raiders welcome the Young Reds at Croatian Sports Centre on Friday, with huge points at stake.

Adelaide United, unbeaten in their last five matches, crept out of the relegation zone last week after a hard fought draw at the home of the champions. The Reds have certainly tightened up their defence, conceding just once in their recent unbeaten run.

Undeniably the in form team in the competition, Croydon Kings 6th win on the spin last weekend saw them jump into the top two. Polonia made a statement last weekend, toppling league leaders Adelaide Comets, 3-1 at Jack Smith Park.

This though will be the first game without their main main, Domenic Costanzo, who this week departed the club to join Adelaide United's senior squad.

Para Hills Knights look to be in a world of pain, with no win since the 18th July which was their second win of the season. Their first win? An opening day triumph against this weekend's opponents, Croydon Kings.

Cumberland United vs Adelaide City
Venue: A.A Bailey Reserve
Date: 10/10/2020 03:00 PM

Cumberland United and Adelaide City face off at AA Bailey Reserve in a massive finals six pointer on Saturday afternoon.

As things stand, The Foxes, who some suggest are this season's surprise package, sit in 5th spot, four points ahead of the Black and Whites in 7th. A win for City would pull them back into the Final's race.

Cumberland were moments away from a huge three points last week, but Blue Eagles struck in the last minute to break Foxes hearts. Likewise City suffered late too, conceding a stoppage time winner against Olympic last Saturday night at VALO.

City beat Cumberland United on the opening day of the campaign, 3-0, at Oakden back in February.

Adelaide Olympic vs MetroStars
Venue: VALO Football Centre
Date: 10/10/2020 07:00 PM

Adelaide Olympic faces the league's top scorers, MetroStars at VALO Football Centre in some tasty Saturday night football.

MetroStars are lethal in front of goal, with 43 goals to their name so far this season, five of those coming last weekend at Modbury Jets. Games with MetroStars seem to promise goals at the moment, with an average of 4.4 in their last 5 encounters.

Olympic are struggling for consistency right about now, with two wins in their last five, which include three defeats. A late late Nicholas Harpas strike last Saturday though could prove a pivotal moment in their season, as they look to stay in the hunt for a finals berth with just four rounds remaining.
