Westminster Old Scholars’ Seeking Women's Community Coach for 2022

Introduction
Westminster Old Scholars’ Soccer Club (WOSSC) is searching for a Women’s  Coach for the 2022 season. Remuneration is available and negotiable dependent on applicant’s qualifications and experience.

Background
WOSSC was founded in 2005 and has grown every year since. In 2021, WOSSC fielded 2 women’s teams for the first time in Div 2 and Div 6, as well as 3 men’s teams.

WOSSC play their home games at Westminster School, which boast some of the best all-grass playing surfaces in the state. In 2021, the Reserves team trained once a week on Wednesdays at Glandore Oval.

WOSSC are an inclusive club, with a strong social and family-friendly culture. WOSSC’s Club Values are Enjoyment, Unity, Integrity, and Resilience. We strive to provide an enjoyable experience on and off the pitch, build a unified and inclusive community, act with integrity, and show resilience when faced with adversity.
 

Coach Expectations

  • Encourage new players to join a safe and inclusive team, whilst developing their skills
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the coaching staff and Club Committee
  • Implement a pre-season training program commencing in January 2022
  • Run one training session per week
  • Make team selections for the match-day squads
  • Openly communicate with the playing group for everything involving availability, injury/fitness, individual performance feedback, etc.
  • Support and promote involvement of the Club’s off-field fundraising and social events
  • Always uphold WOSSC’s Club Values

Desired Qualifications and Experience

  • Coaching experience, preferably of adult women
  • FFA Senior Coaching Certificate – or be willing to obtain
  • Practical knowledge and understanding of the women’s soccer league
