Born in Derby, England, came to Australia in 1957 with the Royal Air Force, returned to UK in 1959 and migrated to Australia in March 1960
Contributed to the game of soccer as a Player, Coach, Administrator, Historian and Author, also a Member of the Australian Soccer Association National Hall of Fame, Life Member of the FFSA and holder of the SASF Meritorious Service Award also Life Member Cumberland United FC
Represented South Australia as a Player, Coach and Manager, as a coach won the South Australian Championship and Federation Cup double (1978), Coach of the Year (1979) and was SA State Team Manager for10 years. Member and Chairman of numerous SASF and club committees, Member FIFA Technical Committee (1981) and Team Liaison Officer World Youth Championships (1993) also Technical Operations Manager (Football) Olympic Games 2000 and was the inaugural Chairman of the SA Hall of Fame

Wrote the book “History of Soccer in South Australia 1902 – 2002”
