Advanced Coaching Licence Revalidation
The information in this document takes effect from January 1st, 2018 and supersedes all prior documents. The changes have been implemented to ensure FFA meets the criteria mandated in the current AFC Coaching Convention.
Overview
FFA Advanced Coaching Licences are valid (accredited) for three consecutive years.
During this three year period, coaches are required to gain 100 points of “Continued Professional Development” to have their licence revalidated for a further three years.
If at the end of the three-year accreditation period the coach has not accumulated the required number of points or attended the next level of Advanced licence, their current Advanced licence will no longer be valid and the coach will then be considered to have no current accreditation.
If a licence is not currently valid, the coach can regain their accredited status by completing 100 points of “Continued Professional Development”. As soon as 100 points have been gained, a coach’s licence will be deemed to be valid. As per the AFC Coaching Convention, if the coach fails to complete 100 points of CPD, within one year of their license expiring, they will lose their accreditation, and be required to complete the course again if they wish to retain their accreditation.
Revalidation
Revalidation Points Table
Coaches are required to gain 100 points over the three-year period that their licence is accredited for. Points can only be gained in the following ways:
Attending an Advanced FFA course | 100 Points
Attending the National Football Curriculum Refresher Course (NFCRC) | 100 Points
Attending an FFA/State coaching conference | 30 Points
Attending an FFA/State Talent ID Course | 30 Points
Attend an FFA/State Coaching Workshop | 10 Points
Coaching Experience (Registered in PlayFootball and actively coaching a team) (per year) | 10 points
