Contributed to the game of soccer as a Player, Referee and Administrator was also a Life Member SASFA, Referees Association and North Adelaide SC
Member of the inaugural SABFA committee in 1902 and played for South Adelaide in the inaugural league in 1903 also founded and played for Adelaide SC in 1904 and continued in the game as a referee. Officiated as secretary of the Referees Association in the 1920’s and was known as the “Father of Soccer” in South Australia
