2017 Hall of Fame Inductees Revealed

FFSA is delighted to welcome Lia Augimeri, Tony Henshaw and Kristy Moore to our Hall of Fame.

Football Federation SA is delighted to announce three inductees to the South Australian Hall of Fame for 2017, Lia Augimeri, Tony Henshaw and Kristy Moore. The 2017 inductees to the Hall of Fame will be celebrated at the 2017 Celebration of Football – to be held on Saturday October 7 at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

Lia Augimeri

Lia Augimeri is being inducted into the HALL OF CHAMPIONS as a member for OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE.

Lia was born in Rose Park, South Australia.

She has contributed to the game of football as a Player, Coach, Administrator and Manager.

Lia has represented the State as a player at senior level and at Women’s National League level and was also a SASI Scholarship Holder, represented South Australia in the Australian Masters Games in 2005 and 2007, was Captain of Adelaide City WSC 2001-2007.

Played for Adelaide Blue Eagles, Metro Knights and Adelaide City in South Australia and has won the Player of the Year, Women’s Premier League, 3 times 1998, 1999 and 2001 and was Top Goal Scorer, Women’s Premier League, 4 times 1999, 2001, 2004 and 2005.

Tony Henshaw

Tony Henshaw is being inducted into the HALL OF HONOUR as a member for OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION.

Tony was born in Manchester, England.

He has contributed to the game of football as a Player, Coach, Manager and Administrator, he is also a Life Member of Cumberland United FC, Adelaide United FC and the Football Federation SA.

Tony was Chairman at Cumberland United 1990-1996, SASF Commissioner 1996-2005, Vice-Chairman SASF 1996-2002, Chairman SASF 2002-2005, SA delegate to Soccer Australia 2002-2005, Vice-President Adelaide United 2003, Member SA Hall of Fame Honours Committee 2006-2017 and Chairman 2014-2017, Member FFSA Museum Committee 2013-1017, Member FFSA Life Membership Advisory Committee 2015-2017.

Tony has been associated with the game in South Australia in excess of 43 years.

Kristy Moore

Kristy Moore is being inducted into the HALL OF CHAMPIONS as a member for OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE.

Kristy was born in Woodville, South Australia.

She has contributed to the game of football as a player and Coach.

Kristy has represented South Australia and Australia as a player at Under 16, Under 19 and Senior level and has also played for England at International level and Adelaide United Lady Reds in the Women’s National League. Kristy was also a SASI Scholarship Holder.

In 2014 she was Captain of the Lady Reds and also won the Player of the Year Award and Players Player of the Year Award. While playing overseas in England and Norway Kristy won a Player of the Year Award, 3 Golden Boot Awards, 2 FA Cup Winners Medals, 3 League Championship Medals, 1 League Cup Winners Medal and 2 other Cup Winners Medals.
