2018 RAA African Nations Cup

RAA African Nations Cup Set for October Long Weekend

Football Federation South Australia, in partnership with the Office for Recreation and Sport and the African Communities Council, will host the 2018 RAA African Nations Cup this weekend.

In the largest edition of the annual event to date, more than 600 participants will converge upon the VALO Football Centre (The Parks – Angle Park), consisting of 20 men’s teams and 4 women’s teams, each proudly representing African nations.  

Fixtures will be played from Friday 28 September to Monday 1 October 2018, culminating in the Grand Final at 4.30pm Monday Afternoon.

For a third consecutive year, RAA will feature as naming rights partner of the eagerly anticipated event. RAA will have a large presence on Monday as part of finals activities, with the RAA activation zone providing spectators the opportunity to test their skills and soak up the vibrant atmosphere. 

2017 winners Liberia will be looking to go back to back after an impressive display in 2017 saw them crowned champions, overcoming DR Congo 3-0 in last year’s Grand Final.

The 2018 tournament will feature some of the best players in South Australia and across the border, including:
