Draw:
A draw shall be undertaken by Football SA, with the participating clubs invited to attend for each round of the Cup. The name of each club involved in the competition will be placed into the draw, and teams will be drawn one at a time to determine the fixture.
- The first team drawn will be the home team, and the second team drawn will be the away team.
- Teams will continue to be drawn until all fixtures are filled. Any remaining team(s) will be allocated to the bye(s).
In the event that a team is drawn to play against a team from a regional affiliated association, the team from the regional affiliated association will be scheduled to play at ‘home’, regardless of whether they are drawn first or second.
There will be no separate draw for Reserves or Under 18 matches, as these will be aligned with the Senior Team draw. If the senior team is drawn to play at home, the Reserve and Under 18 teams will, where possible, play at the same venue.
The first draw of the Hahn Australia Cup SA Preliminary Round will be held on Wednesday, February 5th.
Federation Cup:
At the conclusion of the Hahn Australia Cup Preliminary Rounds SA Qualifying Final, the competition will revert to the Football SA Federation Cup. South Australia will have two spots in the Australia Cup Round of 32, with the winners of the SA Preliminary Rounds progressing to the Hahn Australia Cup Final Rounds.
Reserves and Under 18:
Only Football SA teams are eligible to participate in the Reserves and Under 18 Cup competitions.
Host Venues:
The first named team shall be the Home team.
The Reserves and Under 18 Cup games will be played as directed by Football SA. Where possible, the games will be aligned with the Senior Team or as stipulated below:
- Host Senior Team to host Reserve and Under 18 Cup matches;
- Home Reserve Team to host its match and Under 18 match;
- Home Under 18 team to host its match.
Football SA will be responsible for allocating games to host venues. Where games are being hosted, the host club shall be responsible for all costs associated with hosting the games including payment of all Match Officials. The host club will retain all gate receipts and canteen & bar revenue.
Once the competition reaches the Quarter Final stage, grounds are required to adhere to the minimum venue criteria for the State League 1 competition. Where a club is drawn at home and their venue does not meet the minimum venue criteria, one of the following options will be applied:
- Host club nominates a venue that does meet the minimum criteria;
