5 South Australians Selected in FutsalRoos training squad in preparation for the upcoming 2022 AFF Futsal Championship

Five South Australians were selected and invited to participate in the FutsalRoos training in preparation for the 2022 AFF Futsal Championship in Thailand between April 3 and 12.

Football South Australia would like to congratulate Samuel Styles, Ned Styles, Mitchell Higgins, Jack Tamkin and Joshua Moran who are the lucky South Australian Futsal players to be included among an extended FutsalRoos squad that will prepare for the upcoming 2022 AFF Futsal Championship in Thailand.

Teammates Samuel, Ned, Mitchell, Jack all play their local Futsal for Prospect Futsal Club in the State Futsal League SA, while Joshua plays for Adelaide Fusion Futsal Club.

Football Australia has recently announced the appointment of Miles Downie as the Head Coach of the Futsalroos for the upcoming.

Football SA Futsal Coordinator Alex Sunasky said:

It’s great to see that multiple South Australian players are being recognised by new coach Miles Downie for the training camp. It is great to see that the commitment by individuals and clubs for Futsal development in SA is being recognised nationally.

The AFF Futsal Championship 2022 will be played at the Huamark Indoor Stadium in Thailand between April 3 and 12. The FutsalRoos will compete in Group B of the ASEAN tournament against Vietnam, Myanmar, and Timor-Leste.

With the travelling squad being named in the coming weeks, we hope to see all five of South Australia’s representatives in the final squad.
