Details confirmed for first ever FFA Cup South Australian derby

Details have been confirmed for the first ever South Australian FFA Cup derby. 

Adelaide Olympic will host Adelaide United later this month, which will be a first for the FFA Cup which will see two South Australian sides go up against each other. 

Three-time FFA Cup Winners Adelaide United will face South Australian opposition for the first time in the competition’s history, coming up against National Premier Leagues SA side Adelaide Olympic.

Olympic qualified for the last 16 for the second time in their history, knocking off ECU Joondalup in Perth last month. Meanwhile, Adelaide United needed extra-time to also defeat Western Australian opposition, with victory over Floreat Athena.

The two Adelaide sides will meet on Sunday, 17 October at VALO Sports Centre, Adelaide Olympic's home ground, with kick-off scheduled for 3pm local time (3:30pm AEDT).
