Adam Joseph - A true blue

Football Federation SA is extremely saddened to hear the passing of Adam Joseph, a member of Noarlunga United Soccer Club.

Hundreds of tributes have been posted on social media after the 21 year-old passed away in the early hours of Saturday morning after a tragic car accident.

A club statement read:

With a heavy heart and great sadness we have lost one of our own 'Adam Joseph', A true blue Noarlunga United player, supporter, member and a volunteer. Adam was a fun loving kind of guy, very supportive, caring and a great mate/friend.

Deepest sympathy to David, Lisa, Tyler family & Friends

Taken far too soon, Rest in Peace Adam."

Adam Joseph

Adam spent the last six years at the club he loved and was an assistant last year for all three senior teams.

Despite having physical disabilities, Adam's personality and hard working nature shone through and helped him achieve great things at Noarlunga United, including being duly awarded the club's volunteer of the year award in 2017.

Adam played in teams at junior and senior Federation level while also having played at senior level in the amateur league. Adam also played as a junior at Sturt Lions Football Club.

Adam was just weeks away from travelling to the UK for a community coaching placement with Arsenal Football Club. He was also about to start his final year of a sports health and science degree.

A Noarlunga United player has told Football Federation SA the influence Adam had on him and others around him at the club.

He was always giving players advice on what to do during games, plus also making sure all the players had water ready for the warm up and half time. He dedicated so much of his life to the club and was really passionate about Noarlunga United.

He was a genuine bloke that always knew what to do to make someone happy. Anyone he met just fell in love with him. He always had a smile on his face and had a cheeky attitude."

A GoFundMe page has been created to support Adam's family. (CLICK for details)

Football Federation SA extends their condolences to Adam's family, friends and the Noarlunga United Soccer Club community.

Rest in peace Adam.
