Bendigo Bank Community Award Winners for June

Football South Australia is delighted to announce the June winners for the Bendigo Bank Community Awards. 



VOTING FOR THE JULY AWARDS OPENS MONDAY 21ST JULY



The awards program will see winners recognised each month within the following categories: 

  • Volunteer of the Month - VOTING OPENS MONDAY 21ST JULY
  • Coach of the Month - VOTING OPENS MONDAY 21ST JULY
  • Referee of the Month - VOTING OPENS MONDAY 21ST JULY
  • Club of the Month - VOTING OPENS MONDAY 21ST JULY

Specific criteria is available for each award. The following criteria is relevant to all awards and nominees must:

  • Hold the relevant accreditation for the level they are coaching/officiating at
  • Be registered in Play Football to an affiliated Football SA Club/Association for the current season
  • Hold any other accreditations and/or licenses as required by Football SA
  • Have not received any current or significant suspensions implemented by Football South Australia.

Monthly winners will formulate the list of nominees for the below annual award categories, to be announced at Football South Australia’s official end of season awards ceremony (full details to be confirmed).

  • Volunteer of the Year
  • Coach of the Year
  • Referee of the Year
  • Club of the Year

Coach – Leanne Trimboli (Modbury Vista) 

Leanne Trimboli


Leanne has been coaching juniors at Modbury Vista for over 8 years.  She has developed a good network and rapport with many coaches and officials in the league and demonstrates excellent behaviour both when the team is winning or losing.  Leanne organises additional development programs to assist the development of players.  Leanne has taken on the role of technical director and dedicated to the development of female football at Modbury Vista. 



Volunteer – Danielle Perry (Campbelltown City) 

Danielle Perry


Danielle is often an unseen volunteer at Campbelltown City Soccer Club.  Danielle is the fixtures coordinator for 33 teams, from Miniroos through to Under 17’s.  She is extremely organised and efficient and goes above and beyond to accommodate varying teams’ requests, both from our club and other clubs in the competition.  Danielle is also a member of the junior committee and regularly helps behind the bar.  Danielle’s commitment is to be admired and she is an important and valued volunteer and Campbelltown City Soccer Club.

Referee Of The Month | Melissa Nininahazwe   

Melissa Nininahazwe


Melissa has passion for the sport which she shows in her refereeing. Melissa reflects key characteristics of a community referee including confidence, commitment, empathy, and a strong knowledge of the game. Melissa aims to continue improve her referee performances each week by attending referee training, referee coaching sessions and participating in development tournaments.

Mount Barker United Soccer Club are based in the Adelaide Hills and after entering the State League for the very first time in 2016, the club has grown into a well-established community club.  Mount Barker United SC’s new home at the Summit Sport and Recreation Park will continue the club’s outstanding commitment to their community and providing a safe environment for players and spectators alike.
