Competitive Junior Football is on the rise in South Australia, with figures showing an increase from season 2018.

There have been 7 extra teams entered into this year's JSL, including two teams from Southern Breakers and three from Tea Tree Gully.

A total of 168 JPL teams and 103 JSL teams will be playing this season, a growth from last year.

Girls football is also on the rise, with 4 additional Junior girls and Girls ALDI MiniRoos leagues in 2019 contributing to a record 56 girls and women's clubs across the state, with 20 more teams than 2018.

Junior Football Coordinator, Alex Sunasky, is excited and proud of the growth of the competition.
