Christian Verdicchio set to hit 300 games

Congratulations to Christian Verdicchio who will be officiating his 300th Football SA Senior Match this Sunday at Frank Mitchell Park, on the RAA National Premier League Round 1 clash between FK Beograd and reigning league Premiers MetroStars.

Christian's journey started in South Australia in 2006 and included a period in New South Wales where he officiated his 300th senior match. Christian’s appointment to significant matches, notably the 2011 Premier League Grand Finals, State League 1 Grand Finals 2019, 2020, 2023, which highlights his expertise and contributions to the game. We wish Christian all the best as he takes to the field for this special occasion.

When asked to reflect on reaching 300 games, Christian said:

It is great to finally reach such a milestone of 300 senior South Australian fixtures. I have had ups and downs in my refereeing career like we all do, but overall, I have been fortunate that I have been able to referee in the NPL and National League and been a part of some amazing games over the years, and I look forward to many more to come”.
