Claymore Wines partners with FFSA and Women’s Football
Football Federation South Australia has today announced a partnership with Clare Valley based Claymore Wines.
The partnership will see Claymore Wines become an official partner of Senior Women’s Football and the official wine partner of Football Federation SA, servicing its community facilities as well as the annual Celebration of Football awards night.
The Claymore name is synonymous with Football, as an official partner of English Premier League giants Liverpool FC. Following Liverpool’s visit to Adelaide back in 2015, Claymore Wines subsequently signed a three year partnership with the club.
Anura Nitchingham, the founder of Claymore Wines said: “Claymore is ready to expand our involvement in football beyond Liverpool FC and we see the FFSA’s role in the South Australian football community, especially when it comes to women in sport, as the perfect opportunity to share our commitment to women in business, sport & regional SA”.
Michael Carter, Chief Executive Officer of the FFSA, stated: “FFSA is excited to form a partnership with Claymore Wines. The passion Anura and his team have for wine is matched by their collective passion for Football. We welcome Claymore Wines to the Football Family in South Australia”.
Claymore and FFSA will begin work later this year on a Women’s Football Fundraising program, to be rolled out in early 2018. The initiative will see all proceeds go straight back to women’s football in South Australia.
Claymore Wines is a huge advocate for women in business and sport. Recently, General Manager Carissa Major was announced as a finalist in the 2017 Women in Wine Awards. In addition to supporting women’s football, Claymore Wines will look to become actively involved in FFSA’s regional activities across the state.
