After missing out through the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the Eastern Zone Competition returned in 2021 in great style. 2021 saw Eastern Zone Primary Schools Soccer Association sign a 2-year affiliation agreement with Football SA whereby Football SA ran the competition.
The new affiliation saw 70 teams compete under the Football SA banner, catering for players from 7 years of age through to the 12 and over senior division.
The competition was ran across 3 venues, East Torrens Primary School (8s and 9s), East Marden Primary School (10s) and Paradise Primary School (11’s and Seniors)
This years competition gave the opportunity for SEDA Students to assist in the running of the competition, as they helped as matchday supervisors and Banksia Park Students were provided the opportunity to referee the Under 8's competition allowing both sets of students to gain valuable hands on experience.
The 2021 league season finished on the 11th of September with the Cup Finals being conducted on 18th September for the Senior Divisions.
Football SA would like to thank the dedicated supervisors who have volunteered their time throughout the year to ensure the competition has been ran to a high standard week in week out, thank you to Aldo Perilli OAM, Gabby Vistoli, Robert Goodall, Jack Sierat, Greg Brodie, David Walker and President John Iannunzio.
