Walking Football

What is Walking Football?

Walking Football has become very popular around the world, aimed at over 50s, it enables older participants to be physically active in a fun, safe and inclusive environment.

It has specific rules that outlaw running and do not allow contact between players. Overhead height restrictions and indirect free kicks ensure that the sport is played safely with consideration to the participant's age.

Flexibility is a big attraction for Walking Football; it can be played on artificial surfaces, grass and on indoor or outdoor courts.

Walking Football provides health benefits to older participants by lowering heart rate and blood pressure. It enables them to be physically active, sustain and improve their balance, and increase mobility.

Come and join Walking Football in South Australia – meet new people and interact with individuals and small groups while maintaining a physically active lifestyle.
