FFA Cup 2020 nominations now open

Football South Australia are now accepting nominations for the 2020 FFA Cup South Australian Preliminary Rounds. 

To nominate, clubs are required to complete the online nomination form available by clicking here.

2020 will see South Australia for the first time have two teams qualify for the FFA Cup Final Rounds, which means the winners of the Semi-Finals will progress to the FFA Cup Final Round of 32.

Last year saw the biggest competition so far with 54 teams, including some mouthwatering games which saw Tea Tree Gully defeat West Adelaide, Elizabeth Downs beating MetroStars on penalties, then the Amateur side entertaining Adelaide City playing in front of over 3000 people at VALO Football Centre. 


Last years final saw Adelaide Olympic lift the trophy after a 3-2 win over Adelaide City.

The date for the Federation Cup final for 2020 will be the weekend of 19-21 June.

The following outlines all dates relating to the FFA Cup 2020 Preliminary Rounds;

17 January 2020 | Registration for the FFA Cup Preliminary Rounds SA opens
28 February 2020 | Registration for the FFA Cup Preliminary Rounds SA closes
20 - 22 March 2020 | FFA Cup SA Preliminary Rounds - Round 1 (up to 64 teams)
10 - 12 April 2020 | FFA Cup SA Preliminary Rounds - Round 2 (32 teams)
1 - 3 May 2020 | FFA Cup SA Preliminary Rounds - Round 3 (16 teams)
19 - 20 May (Tue/Wed) 2020 | FFA Cup SA Preliminary Rounds - Quarter Final (8 teams)
2 - 3 June (Tue/Wed) 2020 | FFA Cup SA Preliminary Rounds - Semi-Final (4 teams – the 2 winners will progress to the FFA Cup Final Rounds)
19 - 21 June 2020 | Federation Cup Final (2 teams)

All teams will commence the FFA Cup from Round 1 which can include up to 64 teams. NPL teams will be seeded for Round 1 only and will be drawn last.
