Historical Day for South Australian Football

In a monumental day for the South Australian Football Family, Football Federation SA (FFSA) President, Sam Ciccarello and South Australian Amateur Soccer League (SAASL) President, Bill Bailey formally signed a three year affiliation agreement on Wednesday 6 December 2017.

SAASL - Agreement Signing - 2017

Following extensive and productive discussions between both parties, SAASL Clubs voted in favour of affiliation at a Special General Meeting in October this year.

Members from FFSA and SAASL have since been working in partnership to formalise the agreement to ensure Clubs are provided with greater access to participation opportunities such as involvement in the Westfield FFA Cup Qualifying Rounds, access to funding, increased access to registration and competition management services as well as improved collaboration between competitions from a regulatory perspective.

The formalised agreement to unify both bodies is a positive step forward for Football in South Australia and both FFSA and SAASL look forward to strengthening the relationship to ensure growth and development of the game in the state.
