MODBURY VISTA AND GAWLER DISCIPLINARY HEARING

Following the Modbury Vista and Gawler State League 2 Senior Game played on Friday 11 September 2020, Football SA received match official and club incident reports relating to disturbances that had occurred during and following the game.

The matter was referred to the Independent Disciplinary Committee, which was held on Wednesday 30 September 2020. Both clubs presented evidence to the hearing and entered pleas in accordance with the charges laid.

The findings of the Disciplinary Committee are outlined below:

20 games – 10 games to serve, 10 games suspended for the 2020 and 2021 Seasons.

Gawler Soccer Club

Disturbance, spectator behaviour

  • 6 competition points deducted with 3 points suspended for the 2020 and 2021 season.
  • The club is required to play the next two home games behind closed doors. No home or away spectators are permitted into the venue for Round 11 and 12 for the Under 18s, Reserves and Senior Grades.
  • $5,000 fine suspended for the 2020 and 2021 season.

  • 12 competition points deducted with 6 points suspended for the 2020 and 2021 season.
  • The club is required to play the next two home games behind closed doors. No home or away spectators are permitted into the venue for Round 13 and 14 for the Under 18s, Reserves and Senior Grades
  • $5,000 fine with $2,500 suspended for the 2020 and 2021 season.

 

Both clubs have a period of seven (7) days in which to appeal the findings of the Independent Disciplinary Committee.
