SA Referees Shine on the National Stage

We're thrilled to announce that seven of our referees will be proudly representing South Australia on the national stage in the coming weeks.

UniSport Nationals in QLD:

Nick Elagin, Ellie Seaton, and Dion Turner are all set to kick off their journey from September 25th to 29th, as they head to the UniSport Nationals on the Gold Coast.

Nick Elagin will be participating as part of his Football Australia Referee Academy (FARA) program.

Ellie Seaton earned her spot through her outstanding performance at NTC.

Dion Turner's selection came after a rigorous nomination process by FSA.

Daniel Elder is also in attendance as a referee coach at UniSport Nationals.

This tournament holds immense significance as it will be used for National Second Tier selection, the Football Australia Referee Academy (FARA) Camp, and potential FARA selection for 2024.

National Youth Championships (NYC):

A rigorous selection process was also used to select the following match officials for the National Youth Championships:

NYC Boys (October 2nd - 6th):

Thomas Brinkworth for U15's

Liam Miller for U16's

NYC Girls (October 9th - 13th):

Jayden Betterman for U14's

Thomas Temby for U16's

Andrew Murray will also be attending the NYC Girls as a Referee Coach.

Participating in the National Youth Championships (NYC) marks a crucial milestone in our referees' journey. It's an integral part of our selection process for higher-level competitions within the referee pathway, alongside the Football Australia Referee Academy (FARA).

Stay tuned for more updates as our referees continue to shine on the national stage.
