SA's John Vander Veeken and Bryan Hearn awarded Medal of the Order of Australia

Football South Australia congratulates two valued members of the football family, John Vander Veeken and Bryan Hearn, after being listed on the Queen's Birthday 2021 Honours List.

Both John and Bryan have been awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia.

We would like to congratulate both John and Bryan; a well-deserved award for their dedication to the game in South Australia.

Inducted into the Football SA Hall of Fame in 2013 as a member for outstanding contribution

Born in Chesham Buckinghamshire UK and migrated to Australia in 1971

Contributed to the game of football as a Player, Coach, Trainer and Administrator, Life Member Parafield Gardens SC and Elizabeth Districts Junior Soccer Association and received the SASF Meritorious Service Award

Chairman EDJSA, Chairman SASF Junior Premier League also a Member of the SASF Board of Commissioners and Member SAASL Disciplinary Committee, was SAASL State Team Trainer for the National Championships 1979 & 1980, over the years has been a committee member at Parafield Gardens, Salisbury United and Para Hills, was also a member of the LOC for the FIFA World Youth Championships in 1993-94
