Senior Men's and Women's 2023 Fixtures revealed on new Competition Management system: DRIBL

Football South Australia is proud to announce the Senior Men’s and Women's 2023 Fixtures in full and the transition to DRIBL, an integrated Competition Management system available to clubs and associations for Season 2023 and 2024. 

Dribl is currently the preferred Competition Management System across a number of Member Federations and Associations in Australia. Football NSW and Capital Football both transitioned to Dribl for the 2022 season with more than 300,000 participants currently utilising this system to administer all aspects of their competitions.
 

FIXTURES


Football SA will roll out Dribl across all Football SA-managed competitions including Men’s and Women’s National Premier League and State Leagues, Community Women’s, Juniors, MiniRoos and all social competitions including Football 5ives.

Key features of Dribl include:

  • A mobile app for participants, clubs, teams and fans to view matches, standings, statistics, results and follow their favourite teams, clubs and leagues;
  • Digital team sheets via the mobile app leading to the removal of paper team sheets;
  • Club administrators and volunteers can manage team sheets, enter results, goal scorers etc via the app;
  • Improved tracking of yellow card accumulation and infringement notices for
    Competition and Club Administrators;
  • Limitations on maximum players to be listed on the team sheet with a notification provided to team managers if they attempt to exceed this;
  • Postponed/cancelled matches can be communicated to all registered participants of that match (players, team officials, volunteers) via push notifications to the app;
  • Ability for match officials to enter send off and/or incident reports directly through the app or desktop site;
  • Live scoring capabilities

RAA NPLSA

RAANPLSA

The RAA NPLSA kicks off with a bang through the Real Adelaide Derby as reigning treble winners, Adelaide City look to defend their crown under the tutelage of Paul Pezos against the newly promoted West Adelaide. Hellas are back in the competition after a 3-year hiatus and will be looking to cement themselves within the top tier.

Bob Telfar medalist, Hamish McCabe returns to the topflight through the promotion of Modbury Jets, who will first be in action against FK Beograd on Saturday 18th at 7pm at Smith Partners Stadium.

George Tsonis is freshly at the wheel at Adelaide Comets and will be hoping for instant success against MetroStars at T.K. Shutter Reserve to cap off Round 1. Tsonis will have to wait until Saturday 11th March when Round 4 rolls around to meet his former club, Adelaide City, who will have the home-ground advantage in the clash.

Round 22 sees the minor rounds of the competition come to a head with simultaneous kick-offs following the State League One final-round matches.

 

Women's NPLSA

The WNPLSA 2023 season kicks off with some fresh faces to the competition. Newly promoted Flinders United square up to Tom Monsigneur’s Adelaide Comets at ServiceFM Stadium on Friday 10th March at 6:15pm. It’s all to play for between the sides as Flinders United look to prove themselves early and Comets will want to build upon their best-ever finish from 2022.

Entering their second season in the top tier competition, West Torrens Birkalla will be put to the test early against 2022 grand-finalists Adelaide City on opening night at their ruthless stomping ground, Adelaide City Park at 8:15pm. Former Adelaide City alumni turned first ever female to lead the club’s WNPL team, Tiarn Powell, will be keen to continue City’s dominance in the league.

Football SA NTC will be hoping to uncover their next Emilia Murray or Sasha Coorey when they open their account against Fulham United at West Beach Park on Saturday 11 March at 6:00pm.

Tony Scalzi will have to quickly put any nostalgic feelings to bed as he leads his new side, Salisbury Inter, against his former club, Metro United in Round 1.

Fresh off their grand final Zorba celebrations, West Adelaide will look to defend their title against Adelaide University at 8:15pm on Friday 10th March at ServiceFM Stadium, but will see a familiar face in the opposition dugout in the form of Siobhan Eastham.

After frequent meetings in 2022 in the WNPL & WSL Cup final and the WNPL finals series, Adelaide City and West Adelaide will have to wait until Round 9 to battle it out again, with City holding home ground advantage on Friday 19th May.

 

State League One

State League One 2023 starts off tough for both newly promoted sides. Vipers FC face 2022 grand finalists, Para Hills Knights in Round 1 on Saturday 18that Apex Football Stadium whilst Adelaide Cobras meet the competitive, Adelaide Blue Eagles at 7pm that evening.

The Snake Derby between Adelaide Cobras and Vipers FC will have to wait until the Saturday of Round 7 over the Easter long weekend to make any further history between the sides.

Concurrent kick-offs for the final round on August 12th cap off the season proper prior to the commencement of the finals series.

 

State League Two

The return of Adelaide Hills Hawks to State League Two treats fans to a Round 1 Hills Derby as they face Mount Barker United SC on Saturday 18th February at the glorious Summit Sport and Recreation Park.

Round 22 wraps up with concurrent State League Two afternoon games on Saturday 12th August to see out the minor rounds.

 

Women's State League

Modbury Vista are back in the WSL and will be hoping for another invincible season as the club celebrates its 50th year. Round 1 hosts the Modbury Derby as Vista take on the Modbury Jets on Friday 10th March at 8:15 pm at Smith Partners Stadium.

South Adelaide will be hot on Vista’s tails as they close out the opening round on Sunday 12th March at 3:15 pm when they match up to Campbelltown City at Steve Woodcock Sports Centre.

Simultaneous kick-offs see out Round 18 for the final round of the season proper on Sunday 13th August at 3 pm where clubs will be vying for the premiership and that ever-desirable promotion spot.
