Football South Australia would like to acknowledge and congratulate all South Australian Match Officials that attended the Boys and Girls National Youth Championships and National Talent Challenge over the last few weeks. Ellie Seaton, Jackie Megson and Rowan Wilson all attended the Girls National Youth Championships and all performed well, especially given the unfortunate flooding out of many of the matches. Rowan earnt herself a fourth official appointment to the U14 Semi Final and U14 3rd v 4th place match. Congratulations to Isabella Blaess who also attended Coffs Harbour Girls NYC as one of the referee coaches.
Jayden Betterman, Judah Tan, Thomas Temby and Tom Brinkworth all attended the Boys National Youth Championship the following week and all performed well. Jayden earnt himself an appointment as the fourth official on the U14 Semi Final, and as an assistant referee on the U14 3rd v 4th playoff. Tom Brinkworth had an excellent tournament, refereeing the U14 Semi Final and Grand Final, and winning the 14 Boys Referee of the Tournament Award. South Australian referee coaches Andrew Murray and Daniel Goodwin both attended the tournament as well.
This week we're also excited to announce the appointment of Michelle Smith, Senior Referee Development and Chair of the State Referee Committee, as a referee coach at the girls NTC Challenge.
