Football South Australia is excited to share the remarkable success of our most recent Level 4 Referee Course. This course not only sold out all 40 available spots but also welcomed participants of all ages, ranging from 13 to 64 years old, demonstrating that football truly unites people from various walks of life.
Riding the wave of our recent success, FSA is thrilled to announce the upcoming editions of both Level 4 and Level 3 Referee Courses.
Level 4 Referee Course
This program's practical emphasis complements the theoretical focus of the Laws of the Game and is aimed at referees officiating in junior and youth matches. It is a combination of classroom and practical sessions.
Prerequisites:
- Have successfully completed the free Football Australia's online Laws of the Game within the last 2 years. A copy of their certificate must be provided prior to undertaking the program. Laws of the Game
- A minimum age of 13 at the start of the training program.
- Current registration with FFA.
Course Details:
- Date: Saturday, 16 December
- Time: 9:00 am - 4:30 pm (includes theory and practical sessions)
- Venue: Service FM Stadium
- Cost: $60 (includes Card, Whistle, Flags, Laws of the Game book, and Lunch)
- Special uniform package discount available upon referee registration.
Level 3 Referee Course
This program builds on the basics developed in the Level 4 Referee program and is aimed at referees officiating in junior to lower divisions of adult football. The program is a combination of classroom and practical sessions as well as practical assessments.
We encourage all Level 4 referees to do this course within the first two years of starting their referee career.
Prerequisites:
- Minimum age of 16 at the start of the training program.
- Current registration with FFA as a referee.
- Holding a current Level 4 Referee qualification.
- Demonstrating the competencies required of a Level 4 Referee.

We encourage all Level 4 referees to consider participating in the Level 3 Referee Course within the first two years of their referee career. It's a great opportunity to further enhance your skills and knowledge.
