Vale Colin Alagich Snr

Football Federation SA is saddened to hear the passing of South Australian football icon and Port Adelaide Pirates club legend Colin Alagich Snr. 

Colin played over 300 senior games for Pirates, one of only three players to do so. He also has honours which include 4 Best and Fairest Awards. 

His years of service at the club saw him as a coach, secretary, and a life member. 

Colin recently published a 111-page history book called ‘115 Years of the World Game in Port Adelaide” and gifted a copy to FFSA; a true reflection of his kind and warm-hearted nature.

A statement released by Port Pirates on Thursday read:

"Today is a sad day for our football club and South Australian football in general for when one of us hurts we all feel it."

Our thoughts are with Colin's family, friends and the South Australian football community.

His funeral details will be announced in the coming days via the club and his family.
