The late winner for ‘match of the round’ must be the match up of Inter v Comets. Salisbury will be sure to focus on defending this week after captain and star defender, Chantelle Ryder will be missing through a 1 match suspension for last weeks red card. With a star defender missing, Adelaide Comets have swooped the signature of Georgie Nicola from West Adelaide. With one of the best young strikers going around, Adelaide Comets will be sure to show off their new signing to the Inter defence and get redemption for their Round 1 loss. This match will have the eyes of many as the result can shake-up the league dramatically.

Adelaide University will be looking for redemption following last weeks second loss to Salisbury Inter for the season. With Metro looking to continue their red-hot form over the last few weeks, they are continuing their hunt to chase down league leaders Adelaide City. A loss for Metro can really dampen their title chase as City are chasing high and leading the pack. Adelaide Uni will be looking to go one better than their Round 1 encounter with Metro which ended in a 2-2 draw. Metro though have the upper hand with reigning Golden Boot winner, Chrissy Panagaris, again leading the race with 11 goals in 8 games so far this season.

NTC will be entering this fixture against league leaders still buzzing after last weeks 3-0 surprise win against West Adelaide. NTC finally got their first league win under new coach Lastella and it has really hyped the training sessions this week. They will be entering the match against City pumped and ready to upset another powerhouse team. City however won’t let NTC ruin their winning ways after coming into tonight following a 7-0 thumping of Fulham United last week. Although City have shown their strength this season, many clubs are starting to ‘work them out’ and looking to close the gap on the ladder. If NTC produce another upset, the league will be there for anyone now.

Fulham United play a second powerhouse team in two weeks when they face West Adelaide tonight. West Adelaide come into this fixture after having played a midweek game in the Premier/Div 1 cup, which will be a test to see how their players back up after only a 3 day rest. Fulham United will be out to fight tonight as they still search or their first win of the season. They haven’t beaten West Adelaide in the league since Round 7, 2016 when they took a 3-2 win, thanks to an 84th minute winner to Georgia Macri, who coincidentally now plays for West Adelaide. Will the 3-year hoodoo end tonight and Fulham get their first win?
