Work begins at Regency Park Oval - the new home of Croydon FC

Construction is officially underway at Regency Park Oval, where Croydon FC will be relocating as part of a $7million project.

The project, which will see State Government work collaboratively with City of Port Adelaide Enfield, will see Regency Oval gain two synthetic pitches, a community grass area, new clubrooms, a function space with car parking and efficient lighting around the facility.

In a turning of the sod ceremony at the site on Monday, Minister for Recreation Sport & Racing, Hon. Corey Wingard MP said

These are going to be first-class facilities. They [Croydon FC] are here because of their Men's team, their Women's program as well which is growing leaps and bounds and their wonderful junior program.

This is getting more people active and this is an ideal Game On project delivered by our government, in partnership with the local council, Football SA and Croydon FC.
