Young SA Match Official Ellie Seaton to officiate in NTC Challenge

Football SA is pleased to announce that Match Official Ellie Seaton has been selected to officiate in the National Talent Challenge tournament, being held in Melbourne between 10 July and 14 July.

The National Talent Challenge (NTC) offers female players the opportunity to showcase their talent in front of Football Australia and Australian National Team selectors. Seaton has been selected by Football Australia to attend the tournament, as part of the Refereeing Development pathway into elite competitions such as the A-League Women.

Ellie Seaton

The 19-year-old began her refereeing journey in 2021 and has steadily progressed through the Senior Men's competitions in the last two years. She made her debut as an Assistant Referee in the RAA National Premier Leagues in April 2023, after strong performances early in the season in the State League competitions. She is a member of the Football SA Referee Academy, with 2023 being her first season in the program led by FIFA Referee Daniel Elder.

Having passed the fitness testing requirements of Football Australia, Ellie will head off to Melbourne representing Football SA. She will be joined by Football SA Senior Referee Development Michelle Smith, who has been selected by Football Australia to attend as the lead instructor and Izzy Blaess ALW referee attending as a referee coach.

On behalf of Football SA, congratulations to Ellie, Michelle, and Izzy on their selection to attend NTC.
