About the League
The South Australian Amateur Soccer League conducts a number of competitions for its member clubs to contest including cup competitions. Currently all matches are scheduled for Sundays and Saturday afternoons.
The League Championship: the cornerstone of the League's competition is the League Championship season, commencing usually in the first week of April and running through to late September.
The competition in divided into Saturday and Sunday sections. The divisions are graded according to playing strength into divisions 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. Teams in each division compete on a home and away basis, with three points for a win and one for a draw. The leading team at season's end is declared the champion for that division. A system of promotion and relegation exists between the divisions.
